Our Story

What started as an idea inspired by the struggles of our very own families, has turned into a strong passion. And that passion, along with past experiences, and a desire to make a difference has shaped Ease Accessibility.

We can relate to your journey and the emotions you are going through. And we understand how costly and time consuming this process can be for you.

Our Objective

Our mission is to relentlessly pursue making the lives of seniors and people with disabilities barrier-free. And we want to do it with the highest level of ethics and professionalism. It’s a mission that is close to our hearts and inspired by personal struggles with accessibility within our families for many years. Now we want to share that knowledge and expertise toward solving your unique accessibility challenges.

Our team includes a very diverse team of professionals. From occupational therapists, geriatric nurses, to elevator technicians, and legal advisors. We all work together to make homes, offices and community spaces more accessible and inclusive for people of all ages and abilities.

Muhammad Kasmani | Client Success Director

With a career spanning 15 years in customer experience and a passion for construction, Muhammad is the perfect conduit between the client and the tradesmen. His relationship skills coupled with his knack for construction allow him to quickly address any customer queries and concerns. He has worked as an advisor on projects to major private, public and not for profit organizations and his favourite part of the job is solving problems and looking for new and better ways to do things. Hicommitment to providing clients with unparalleled service and quality have resulted in long lasting relationships and a stellar reputation in the industry.

Daniel Syed | Construction Design & Sales Manager

Daniel, or “Danny”,as everyone calls him has over 10 years of experience transforming homes and businesses in the GTA. He  started his career as a carpenter and he has gone ahead to build a solid foundation of skills with hard work and broad trade experience. Danny. has an eye for detail, and follows his projects from concept to completion. His passion in accessibility design and construction has driven him to work on multiple projects over the years. Besides being extensively experienced, Danny is also a certified Aging in Place Specialist, which allows him to provide innovative solutions for seniors who wish to make their homes a safe haven.

Sukaina Dada | Consultant Occupational Therapist

Sukaina Dada is a pediatric occupational therapist and PhD Candidate in Critical Disability Studies in the School of Health Policy and Management at York University. Sukaina’s research examines refugees with disabilities, intersectionality, and social determinants of health and disability. Sukaina is a mother of two and is the founder and executive director of SMILE Canada - Support Services, a registered Canadian charity that supports racialized children and youth with disabilities and their families.

Omar Marouf | Financial Controller

Omar is the number cruncher and budgeting powerhouse specializing in financial analysis, reporting and process improvements. Sophisticated, and serving as quasi Chief Operating Officer, he is the driving force for the commercial performance of the business and proactively providing insights that help frame the company’s most important decisions. He possesses a strong understanding of both the company and industry operations making him suitable as an advisor and a voice of reason on compliance with ethical, regulatory and legal requirements. Omar has played various roles in a professional capacity and continues to serve the community as advisor on multiple boards.

Rehan Qureshi | Legal Advisor

Rehan Qureshi is a lawyer from Edmonton, Alberta. He believes in passionate advocacy for all his clients, whether it is at the business table or the court room. Rehan brings business law and litigation experience to Ease Accessibility’s Board of Advisors. In his free time, Rehan enjoys working out, travelling, and reading.

Accreditation

Certified Aging in Place Specialists – The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), in partnership with the AARP and NAHB Research Center, developed the Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist (CAPS) program. CAPS professionals are taught the strategies and techniques for designing and building aesthetically enriching, barrier-free living environments needed to provide comprehensive and practical aging-in-place solutions.

AODA Compliance – The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) is a law that sets out a process for developing and enforcing accessibility standards.The team at Ease Accessibility is trained and maintains compliance to the AODA guidelines in helping identify, prevent and remove barriers for people with disabilities, creating a better and more inclusive Ontario for everyone.
